I’m sure that most parents feel the same way. That there is never enough time in the day to get everything done. We put ourselves at the bottom of the list. Well, I quickly decided that I will not be on the bottom of my own list. As mothers, we are often the givers and sometimes don’t always know our limits. I could easily fill up my day and night with housecleaning, cooking, school projects, interacting with the kids, etc. Of course that is all very important, but time spent by myself is just as important. Now I’m not talking about going on a weekend cruise by myself (but that does sound nice). I’m talking about taking a break from the laundry and finishing a crossword puzzle. One of my favorite things to do is to go to the salon for an hour every 2 weeks. I loved just sitting their and getting pampered. I also enjoy going to restaurants and getting served. Since I am constantly serving and taking care of others, I appreciate the times when someone is taking care of me. I feel refreshed and content after wards. Taking time out for yourself is essential to any parent’s survival.
